The following text is for questions 1 to 3
Dear Reader,
We know that it is important to
have healthy mind.
In my opinion,
one way to keep our mind healthy is giving up on watching TV. I think that a
few TV channels give us good programs and the rest of them just broadcast
rubbish commersial program. Because there are too many channels on TV, it is
really difficult for us to really excited by TV. In 24 hour, we have endless
channels. Consequently, the quality of the programs has suffered.
So what do we have to do in our
leisure time? I strongly believe that meeting people is more exciting.
Interaction with our friends and family will lead us to a healthier mind. We
will learn a lot when interacting with people. When we want to be alone,
reading books is healhtier than watching TV.
I want to know your attitude toward
watching TV. Do you lovee it or hate it? Do you think my opinion is correct
or wrong? Please send me a letter.
Regards,
Andhita

Teeth are the hard white objects in the mouth used for
biting and chewing food. The part of the tooth you can see, which is not
covered by the gum( your gums are the pink, fleshy part), is called the crown.
The crown of each tooth is covered with enamel which is very hard and often
shiny. Enamel is a very tough substance and it acts as a tooth’s personal
bodyguard. Enamel works as a barrier, protecting the inside parts of the tooth.
If
you were able to peel away enamel, you would find dentin. Dentin makes up the
largest part of the tooth. Although itis not as tough as enamel, it is also very
hard.
Dentin
protects the innermost part of the
tooth, called the pulp. The pulp is where each tooth’s nerve endings and blood
supply are found. When you eat hot soup, bite inti super-cold scoop of ice
cream, fall and hurt a tooth, or get a cavity, it’s your pulp that hurt. The
nerve endings inside the pulp send messages to the brainabout what’s going on
(“That ice cream is too cold!”). The pulp also contains the tooth’s bloods
vessels, which feed the tooth and keep it alive and healthy.
The
pulp goes all the way down into the root of the tooth, which is under the gum.
Cementum makes up the root of the tooth, which is anchored to the jawbone.

Mangrove Trees
A mangrove is a tropical marine tree
or shrub of the genus Rhizhopora. Mangroves have special aerial roots and
salt-filtering tap roots that enable them to thrive in brackish water (brackish
water is salty, but not as salty as sea water).
There are several species of
mangrove trees found all over the world. Some prefer more salinity, while
others like to be very close to a large fresh water source (such as a river).
Some prefer areas that are sheltered from waves. Some species have their roots
covered with sea water every day during high tide. Other species grow on dry
land, but are still part of the marine ecosystem.
Mangroves need to keep their trunk
and leaves above the surface of the water. Yet they also need to be embedded to
the ground so they are not moved by waves. There are three types of mangrove
roots:
1. Support roots which directly pierce the soil,
2. Level-growing roots which twist upwards and
downwards, with the upward twists emerging on the water surface,
3. Level-growing roots whose downward twist (sub-roots)
appear on the water surface.
Any part of a root that appears above the water
supplies oxygen to the plant under the surface of the water. As the soil begins
to build up, these roots produce additional roots that become embedded in the
soil.
